Playlist Throwback: Cherry Cheesecake

'Cherry Cheesecake' was so named because I used to keep tabs on my friend Neil's art of the mix page and he had a mix named Chocolate Cake (? or something like that...) and I thought it was clever and I blatantly copied him. (It feels kind of lame to admit that.) Also, apparently Chris Issak's 'Wicked Game is not Spotify available. This version is the first track of the mix: I think this was late freshman/early sophomore year. I remember being obsessed with Lisa Loeb's 'How' and I have always thought that 'Wicked Game' is one of the sexiest songs I've ever heard. 'Jumper' always makes me think of season 5 of Road Rules; my freshman year roommate was obsessed with The Cure.  I'm not sure why I included the two random pop princess songs, though good on me for going for the tier 2 pop princesses.

Buffalonians: You're not rid of me yet; it'll be at least a couple of months before I actually move.  Prepare for me to be up your butt until I go; I'm going to miss you all so much!

Of Note: Occasionally, I like to pretend that maybe, just a little, I'm kind of a bad-ass. I'm not. This is a tale of two moe. shows.  October 2004 was interesting. It was my first semester of MBA school; I had just started my first marketing internship. I was over my undergraduate graduation nervous breakdown and hell-bent on making sure I wasn't in the same unemployable boat when I finished MBA school. Being in classes felt good. When moe. announced fall tour dates, I was all over it. I remember thinking it was kind of a weird venue - Riviera is a theater where you would see like, a community production of Nunsense or something. It had been a while since I'd seen moe., the previous year's fall tour, I believe. I remember that it felt good ju
