I promise I'll be back with concert coverage soon. For now, some of what I've been listening to recently.
Ke$ha / C'mon
"I don't wanna think about/ What's gonna be after this/ I wanna just live right now"
I'm a Levanduski. We avoid. It's what we do.
Phillip Phillips / Gone, Gone, Gone
I feel like I've repeat songed like half of this album. But, this song is, a little bit, a thing that is wrong with me. Unwavering devotion? Inability to let things and people go? Check and check. Gorgeous song though!
Connie Britton & Charles Esten / No One Will Ever Love You (Nashville Soundtrack)
This is one of my favorite new shows this year and this song slays me. (Also, Deacon? He's the same guy that was Jim, Andy & Karen's boss at the Stamford branch of Dunder Mifflin. That kind of blew my mind.)
A Great Big World / This Is The New Year
I suppose, right now is a good time to listen to songs about new beginnings.
Jupiter One / Countdown
I loved this song so much when it came out in 2006. I rediscovered it recently and it holds up. I don't know why but I think that "countdown to a night gown" is one of the most interesting lyrics ever.
Foxygen / San Francisco
Faux classic southern rockers singing about my soon to be city? Done and done.
